Landmarks Preservation Commission Issues New Process for Submission of Testimony

In our effort to make the digital submission process more efficient and fair, the agency has created an online form for Public Testimony and Comments on Public Hearing and Meeting items. In response to feedback, we have made a few changes, including providing presentation materials for agenda items on the LPC website by 5:00 PM on the Thursday prior to Public Hearings/Meetings, and accepting digital testimony until 4 PM on the Monday prior to Public Hearings/Meetings. Below please find a summary of ways to submit testimony to the Commission.

Digital Submission for Public Hearings:
Public Hearing testimony is accepted in person at the Public Hearing, by mail or digitally. Digital testimony submitted in advance of the hearing must be submitted through LPC’s online form by 4:00 PM on the Monday prior to the Public Hearing. Written testimony (mail or delivered in-person) is accepted from the time the application is filed until the public hearing for the application is closed.

Digital Submission for Public Meetings:
The Commission accepts written comments into the record regarding Public Meeting agenda items. Written comments for Public Meetings must be delivered to LPC or submitted through LPC’s online form by 4:00 PM on the Monday prior to the Public Meeting.

Again, please note that Public Hearing and Meeting item presentation materials will now be available on the LPC website by 5:00 PM on the Thursday prior to Public Hearings and Meetings. As always, please feel free to contact us if you have any questions, comments or concerns.
