Workshop Description
From RFPs to Winning Proposals: Designing Solid Projects and Writing Competitive Grants aims to provide hands-on skills that will enable grant writers to design logical projects and write cohesive and competitive grant proposals. Workshop attendees will take part in exercises designed to hone their skills at each stage of the grant writing process – from reading through an RFP to developing a logic model and budget, to writing a narrative and using the logic model to conduct project evaluation. Successful completion of this workshop will result in participants gaining an understanding of the basic concepts and processes necessary for the development of clear grant proposals. Attendees will master the essentials of RFP (Request for Proposal) analysis, project design, budget development, grant narrative development and project evaluation, and will leave ready to design effective projects and transform those designs into competitive requests for funding.
