Please join WE ACT and the West Harlem Community Preservation Organization and co-sponsors for a virtual Candidate Forum on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at 11:00 am. We will welcome all six candidates in the race for Manhattan Borough President. Peggy Shepperd, Executive Director of WE ACT, will moderate.
The candidates will present their platform and answer questions from 10 organizations co-sponsoring this event. The co-sponsors are Ascendant Neighborhood Development, Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute, Community League of the Heights, Landmarks East Harlem, Landmarks West, Morningside Area Alliance, Mount Morris Park Community Improvement Association, and the Sugar Hill Concerned Neighbors. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions by submitting questions in the Chat.
This year is a pivotal election year. Numerous seats are up for re-election, and introducing a new way of voting- rank choice vote, makes it more critical for the people of West Harlem and northern Manhattan to be well informed on each candidate.
The Forum is free and open to the public. RSVP (required) here.
