Making Art Uptown Family Workshop

Saturday, July 29th, 1:00 – 3:00 pm
An afternoon of art making and self-empowerment

The Lantern / 8th Floor
Join us for art projects inspired by Maren Hassinger’s Fight the Power on view in the Uptown exhibition. Working together, families can create sculptural elements made from paper that will eventually become part of Fight the Power.

Wallach Art Gallery / 6th Floor
Explore the Uptown exhibition and discover a world of shapes and colors through discussion and sketching.

Lenfest Plaza
Experience the public art piece Pimp My Piragua as artist Miguel Luciano serves piraguas (shaved ice) from his custom-built cart.

Best for ages five and up; advanced registration encouraged.
